Kippers

These kippers have been smoked in a traditional way for more than a hundred years at our kilns in Buckie.

No artificial additives are used and just like all our other processes these are natural, succulent and are healthy eating.

All kippers are sold in pairs you can choose either one pair or six pairs.

Serving Suggestions:

KIPPER AND TOMATO BAKE

METHOD

  • Preheat oven 160°C, Gas 3
  • Poach 4 Kippers in a little milk, remove the kippers from the milk skin, bone and flake them. Keep the milk as you will need it later.
  • Skin and slice 200g Tomatoes
  • Mix together the kippers, 2tbsp of the milk used for poaching, 1 tbsp White Breadcrumbs, 50g Butter and 25g Chopped Parsley also add lemon juice and season
  • Lightly grease and oven proof dish and spread the mixture in the dish topping with the sliced tomatoes
  • Bake for 20 mins
